Classes in partnership with the city of Espoo
Cetus Espoo ry organises a wide range of courses and guided activities in cooperation with the City of Espoo. For example, all swimming school courses held in the teaching pool on weekday evenings are supported by the City of Espoo and are therefore slightly more affordable than similar courses organised on weekends. The cooperation also includes Wau after-school clubs, swimming sessions for grades 5–9 on Wednesdays, monthly water play events, holiday activities during the autumn and spring terms, adaptive swimming groups, and summer swimming try-outs for children starting first grade.
During the autumn and spring seasons, we organise 2-hour Water Play Events at the Central Espoo Swimming Hall in cooperation with the City of Espoo Sports Services. The events are aimed at families with children aged 2–8 years.
Two Cetus instructors will be present and available to give swimming-related tips. However, these sessions are not formal swimming lessons. Families are free to use pool toys and equipment and to move around the teaching pool at their own pace.
Participation is possible with a valid swimming hall entrance fee.
