Beginner Swimming
In Beginner Swimming School children develop basic swimming skills in a similar way to regular swimming school, while still incorporating games and playful activities. Children participate independently without a parent in the pool. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes, and the classes are held in the teaching pool.
Starting level requirements
This course is intended for children aged 3–6 who are already confident in the water and ready to participate in swimming lessons without their parent or guardian.
To participate in the course, the child should be able to follow the swimming instructor’s guidance in a group without continuous support from a parent or guardian and move around in the teaching pool with sufficient independence. The child does not need to know how to swim.
We recommend that the child is at least 100 cm tall. Especially for younger children, it is important that they are able to manage in the pool environment without continuous assistance from their own adult.
If the child is still very young or needs the presence and support of an adult in the water, we primarily recommend our Child–Parent Swimming School or Child–Parent → Beginner Swimming School course, where the transition to participating independently in swimming lessons is practised gradually.
Objectives
Huom! Meillä on muutamia 7-12-vuotiaille suunnattuja Alkeisuimakouluryhmiä.
